Nursery (Birth - Age 2)
What to Expect
Infants and Toddlers
Our nursery is located on the upper level of our Children's Wing. We divide our little ones in the nursery into Cuddlers (the wee ones who will want to sleep or be cuddled in loving arms), Crawlers (those who are more active and will want to spend time on the floor moving around), Toddlers (usually one year olds who are very mobile on two legs), and Two Year Olds.
While we accept babies at birth, we recognize that it is best for a newborn to have time to build immunities during the first 6 weeks before being exposed to the other children in the nursery. We prefer to leave the decision of when to make the baby's first visit to church to the parent. Our goal is for parents to know their baby is safe and happy while they are able to freely worship and hear God's word spoken.
Two Year Olds
The two year olds enjoy free play before beginning their curriculum called First Look. Because their attention span is short, they can learn through a simply told, interactive Bible story. We follow the story with a variety of activities that repeat a single main point and keep little hands and minds busy in short bursts. Even if they play right through the story, they are soaking up God's truths and most importantly know they are loved.
Find out more about what we are currently teaching in our 2 year old room, here.
Nursing Mother's Room
We provide a private room in our Nursery for a mom to relax with her baby and nurse while watching the service feed on the TV. If you have not visited our nursery, ask someone in the lobby for directions.

Questions You Might Be Asking
What to Bring
We ask that you bring a bag for your child with at least 2 diapers or pull-ups and a change of clothes. If your child will need a bottle or a favorite sippy cup, please include that as well.
Well Child Policy
While every child is important to us, we must think of what is best for the whole. We ask that you not bring your child if they have had any of the following symptoms of a contagious illness within 24 hours of the service. We ask the same of our volunteers.
Fever above 100 degrees F
Vomiting
Diarrhea (more than one occurrence)
Any unexpected rash or skin condition
Eye Infection (especially Pink Eye)
Any other contagious illness
We do not administer medicines. We do not apply diaper rash medication or powder when diapering unless you supply it in your child's bag and specifically tell us your child needs it.
Promotion
Our nursery promotes based on development from cuddler, crawler, and toddler rooms.
Two year olds are generally ready to move as of their birthday but because of the curriculum and more structured time in this room, a child may remain in the toddler room for a short period until they can participate in activities with other 2 year olds without being too disruptive. A sample of a 2 year old lesson for the current month during Sunday kidzEX(perience) can be seen here.
